The Daily Planet opened in 1982, one block east of the Church Street Marketplace, and never left. The tagline still does the explaining: where the locals dine.
Rachel and Neil Solis took over in 2020, and proud to keep the traditions moving forward. The kitchen cooks innovative American food built on local Vermont ingredients, with real options if you are vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free.
The bar program wins awards. The four spaces each have a mood of their own. The rest is Burlington: neighbors, visitors, first dates, big tables that stay late.
